8 Common Mistakes of Internet Marketers

rsz_2499617851_9e90b8cc81_o[1]

1. Failure to prepare properly. Many Internet marketers are simply lazy and will not make the effort to prepare properly. Refrain from being overly anxious as if you’ll miss the boat if you do not market your website immediately. Use however many days it takes to setup all the appropriate advertising accounts and advertisements properly. This will make your administration more efficient and enable you to fly through your schedule tasks effortlessly each day. The net result is that your marketing efforts will be far more productive than if you were to take a haphazard approach.

2. Failure to implement an advertising strategy. You must have a plan with well defined goals if you wish to have positive marketing results. Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Do not try to recreate the wheel. Find out what successful people are doing and do the same. Regarding goals, write them down. When you achieve a goal mark it as “completed” and replace it with another. By doing this very simple step you can monitor your effectiveness and progress.

3. Failure to be professional. Some of the ads on the Internet are of embarrassingly poor quality. Be professional in your business approach and in the design of your ads. If you lack the ability to produce professional ads then find a resource that can. The quality of your website and advertisements is a reflection on you. Also, when dealing with customers always be courteous and professional even when they are not. If you are professional you will shine above the rest and earn customer confidence.

4. Failure to implement and adhere to a disciplined schedule. If you don’t have a realistic schedule in place then you will not be disciplined in marketing your ads properly. Consistency not volume is the key to success in marketing on the Internet. A schedule allows you to be consistent and also forces you to be disciplined. The Internet is not a “get rich quick” environment. It takes hours of dedicated and consistent work. You must be committed to putting in the time if you wish to have good marketing results.

5. Failure to utilize the right tools. There are some very innovative tools on the Internet to make the operation of your business more efficient. Many of them are very affordable and they will save you from having great frustration. Some marketers take the approach of being a “penny wise and a pound foolish.” In saving their pennies they are losing out on making the bigger dollars. Don’t ignore the many tools which are available.

6. Failure to build a downline. Your downline is the cornerstone of your business. A downline is your customer list or they can be referrals that join certain advertising programs through you serving as an affiliate. Various advertising sites offer you some type of compensation for bringing them referrals. Don’t ignore the value of these referrals. Some Internet marketers are so anxious to advertise their product they fail to have an understanding of the bigger picture. A big downline can save you money in your advertising and enable you to advertise more effectively. When soliciting always get the email address of your customer for future solicitations and sales.

7. Failure to track ads. Much time is wasted on unproductive sites and ads. If you’re not tracking them you will continually work in ignorance. You must have a measure of what is working and what is not. Is the program that you are participating in yielding the desired results? Are your ads well written and effective in drawing customers? You will never have the answers to these important questions unless you track your ads. You can waste a great deal of time on poor advertising programs and bad ads if you never track the results.

8. Failure to understand the advertising medium. You must understand how each type of advertising program works if you’re going to be an effective marketer. Whether you use pay-per-click advertising or membership driven sites like safe lists, traffic exchanges and text ad exchanges all have their own personality. Not only do you need to understand the mechanics of each but also the general personality of their membership.

10 Steps To Improve Your Link Popularity Easily!

rsz_260004685_8d78d77db0_o[1]

Why bother with link popularity? Link popularity is important because every major search engine considers them as a part of their ranking algorithms. You must build links if you want to rank well with the competitive keywords.

If your page includes all the important criteria and scores well with Page Primer, it’s time to focus on your links. You need good inbound links to move your page up the ranking ladder and get new entry points to your site, but how do you get those inbound links in the first place?

Let’s make sure you understand what link popularity is. Link popularity is the measure of inbound links to your web site. Link analysis evaluates which sites are linking to you and the link text itself.

Fortunately for you, there are a lot of ways to improve your link quality and popularity. Here are some ideas to help you set up your own link popularity campaign:

1) Get your site in shape. You must first make sure your site is in shape. Your site should look professional, have good content and be easy to navigate. Validate your HTML code and check your links with a tool like HTML Toolbox. If there are broken pages or links in your site, it is not likely you will get link backs.

Directories have gone on record saying they may exclude sites with broken links and page errors. Directories want only professional looking sites in their databases, so proof your site before you start promoting it.

2) Make time for link building. You can’t grow your link popularity overnight. Set aside time every week to work on link building. If you force yourself to spend a couple hours a week on link building, it will become part of your routine. If you don’t make it a priority, it won’t get done.
It will take time for you to notice results, but, over time, those one or two new links start adding up until they are hundreds or even thousands of links.

3) Set realistic goals for yourself. Don’t expect to see instant results. Link building is taxing, frustrating and time-consuming. Convincing another web site to link to you can be very difficult. If you get one good quality link a month, you’re doing good.

Patience is the key to link building. It is important to keep track of who you have asked, since it could be embarrassing to ask a site for a link if they’ve already given you one.

If someone declines, wait and ask again later. Their company may have changed their focus, or there may be someone else reviewing the links. A “no” today doesn’t necessarily mean “never”.

4) Educate your employees about link building. If you’re link building in-house, educate your company’s internal management about the benefits of link building.

Link popularity is unique to the search engine industry. Sit down with your management and explain the concept behind link building. Don’t assume your management knows what it is, because most won’t have a clue what you’re talking about.

Explain link building by describing the relationship of link building and increased revenue, this will usually get management’s attention. You will need management’s support to provide the time and money you need to get into search engines or directories, so their understanding is important.

5) Quality above quantity. Be selective. Search engines use sophisticated rules when judging link importance, and the popularity of the site is also important. One link from CNet is worth far more than a link from a personal web site.

Stay away from link farms, which are sites that exist only to link to other websites. Search engines take a very dim view of link farms. Google has been known to ban sites found using these link farms.

Try to stick to sites that are in the same field as your site, but not competing. Links that are in your same field will carry more weight than a link from a quilting site if you are a site for automotive parts. This does not mean you should always refuse if the site isn’t in your field, just limit the amount of the non related sites that you accept. Links from within your own field are strong endorsements and will go a long way to increasing your link popularity.

6) Get to know the website you are requesting a link to. Establish yourself as a real human first, then when you ask for a link, they are less likely to refuse.

Broadcast emails are a bad idea, sure it is easier, but they are considered spam and will only make the company mad at you. Spam link requests waste everyone’s time and don’t work.

7) Give them your exact HTML link code. When you send them what you want in the link and suggest which page you want it on, it makes their job easier. This also makes sure the right words are used in the link and reduces the burden in setting up the link. Everybody is pressed for time, and, if you make it “drop-in simple”, you will be making it irresistible. The easier it is for them, the more successful you will be in convincing them to use your link.

8) Get listed on as many directories as you can. This is important if your site is new or you do not have any inbound links. Another reason this is important is that, without inbound links, your site is at a disadvantage with most search engine rankings.

The way to overcome this is to get a few quality links. The way to start is to get listed in as many directories as you can. There are many directories out there, and the more you can get into, the better.

Here are some directories to choose from: Open Directory, Yahoo, LookSmart and Zeal.com, just to name a few.

Most directories worth linking to require you to pay for a listing. Most of the time, it is worth the expense.

9) Be prepared to give something for a link. Try to have something to offer in return for a link. Create a page that allows you to have a place from which you can easily link to them.
You can offer to work a barter arrangement with them. If your site is popular or is within their market, they might consider advertisements in exchange.

10) Consider outsourcing your link popularity work. Link building is a time-consuming part of search engine optimization, so you may find it is not cost effective to do it in-house. This means you might want to hire someone else to do it for you.

Many top SEO firms have turned to outsourcing this function. Outsourcing could be an efficient way for you to get links for your site as long as you use a reputable link building firm.
If you decide to outsource, be sure the firm you hire follows good link building practices. Ask them how they plan to get the job done. Make sure they use a personalized approach, just like you would do if you were doing it yourself. You need to make sure that the method they use would not be considered spam.

If they refuse to discuss their methods with you, then you can assume they use impersonal methods such as widespread e-mail drops or link farms – this is considered spam. They may call it something else, but, if their process involves sending out large numbers of form emails, it’s still spam. If they do it the impersonal way, it will only set you back and injure your company’s professional reputation. Saving time at the expense of hurting your reputation isn’t worth it. Go look for a different company, or develop your links yourself.

Think of link building as an investment in your site.

The link building process needs to be one of your top priorities. Search engines have found link building to be resistant to manipulation, and they use it to measure the importance of a site. Since link building takes time, the sooner you start, the better.

Think of link building as a long-term investment in your site. The time you put in now to improve your linking today will insure a good search engine ranking in the future.

Why Blog Marketing Has Become So Popular

Why Blog Marketing Has Become So Popular

The popularity of blog marketing has grown but not so much from any aggressive efforts to consciously ‘promote’ business blogging. It is more the case that people in general are much more receptive to this type of approach because it is less invasive. The general public as a whole has grown increasingly weary of ‘in your face’ promotional tactics and the passive approach business blogs use is therefore more appealing. For anybody who expects to get paid to blog they are aware they must perform a service and earn the loyalty and trust of people first and foremost. From the point of view of any potential customer, this is a refreshing change and a win win situation for them. Here’s how it works!

Capture Attention

Business blogs, as mentioned previously operate on the idea of first ‘attracting’ people to their sites. This is done with the use of interesting or useful content. If the information posted is of good enough quality, people will return to view new updates.

Build Interest

On their first few visits people are normally drawn in on moderate interest but a high level of curiosity. As new post appear, and continue to maintain a certain level of quality, readers become more engaged or interested in the site. This is when loyalty begins to develop.

Increase Credibility

Now it is up to the business blogs to maintain a consistency of both content quality and posting frequency so visitors will know what to expect. When this is done the site and of course the owner begin to develop a credibility that increases with each new post. At the same time reader loyalty is also increasing and all this is transpiring without visitors being pressured to buy anything!

Builds Relationship

The more people continue to visit, the more familiar and comfortable they become with the site. Comments are left, exchanges occur, and a relationship begins to take shape that only strengthens as time goes by.

Creates Trust

As the relationship ‘bond’ strengthens so does the trust people have in the blog host. Here is when products or services are then ‘offered’ or ‘suggested’ to visitors who are more inclined to heed the suggestions of the blogger because of the credibility and trust that now exists. All this once again transpires without the use of pressure allowing people to remain in a comfort zone where they do not feel any obligation to make a purchase. With this relationship established the site owner is now able to get paid to blog due to the decrease in resistance visitors have towards any promotional efforts.

Blog marketing is growing in popularity because it presents a refreshing change from more traditional and aggressive promotional techniques. Business blogs realize they must first win the trust and loyalty of visitors to their site. This approach is more appealing to people who have grown tired of pushy ‘in your face’ tactics. Another factor not to be overlooked is the growing acceptance of making purchases online. The 5 things a blogger must accomplish if they expect to get paid to blog that are reviewed above, clearly reflect that customer satisfaction is a priority. The blogging business will likely continue to grow in popularity due primarily to its customer friendly approach. Giving people what they want, and at a pace that is comfortable to them, has put the customer back in control, and they apparently have taken a liking to it!

The Basics of Seo Through Seo Expert – Some Faqs

Search engine optimization (SEO) is a substance foreign to many people. Rarely a day passes when I do not get asked a few questions on the topic. So I decided to publish this article in the FAQ hopes it will help people to understand the basics, and make them a little more comfortable with the whole area.

Q: Why Search Engine important to me?

A: 85% of all website traffic is driven by the search engines. The only online activity more popular than research is a messaging service. 79.2% of American users do not go to page 2 of the results. 42% of users click on the no.1 result. For the under-40 years, the Internet will become the most used in the media the next 2-3 years.

Q: How do search engines decide their ranking? SEO Expert

A: IMPORTANT: You can not pay a search engine in exchange for a high ranking in the natural results. You can get a high if your content is deemed relevant by the search engines.
The search engines to identify content for their search results by sending spiders robots exploration (analysis) and index your site his (record) details. Complex algorithms are then used to determine if your site is useful and should be included in the search engines search results.

Q: Can I simply not pay for a senior?

A: No. The biggest concern for companies search engine like Google and Yahoo is to find the content that will bring them more traffic (and thus more advertising revenue). In other words, their results must be relevant. The results relevant is a good search engine; irrelevant results allows for a short-lived search engines.

Most search engines these days with two kinds of results, whenever you click Search:

“X Natural / Organic is the real search results. Results that most users are looking for and which form the largest part of the window. For most searches, the search engine displays a long list links to sites with content that is related to the word you searched. These results are ranked according to their relevance and importance.
“X Pure Paid advertising. This is how search engines make their money. Advertisers pay the search engines to display their ad whenever someone is looking for a word that is related to their product or service. These ads are similar to that of search results, but are usually labeled Sponsored and normally take a small portion of the window.

Q: How can I get a good ranking?

A: There are four stages:
Step 1 – Use the right words on your site
Step 2 – Get lots of relevant sites to link to yours
Step 3 – Use the right words in these links
Step 4 – Have a lot of your content and add more regularly

Q: What is search engine optimization (SEO)?

A: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the art of creating a Web site that is search engine. That means:
1. using the right words in your copy
2. using the right words in your HTML
3. structure your site correctly
4. design your site

For more information on these elements 4, download our “SEO eBook” Secrets of SEO Services .

Many people use SEO also describe the other ingredients in a high-ranking, “Link Popularity”.

Q: What is the link popularity?

A: Think of the search engines as a big election. All sites in the world are candidates. The back links are votes. The more votes (links) a candidate (website) has, the more important it is, the higher its ranking. Link popularity is all about the number of links you have, and how you can get more.
Links to your site on search engines to tell how your site is important. They assume that if it ¡| s important enough to many other sites to link to it ¡| s important enough for them to appear at the top of the ranking. Links are the most important factor in the ranking. In general, the more you link to your site from other sites, the higher your ranking.

Q: Are there any links better than others?

A: Yes! Ideally, such as those related to:
1. from relevant sites (sites that use the same keywords);
2. comes from important sites (have a good ranking);
3. include your keyword within the text link;
4. includes various link text (not the same link text each time), and
5. comes from a page that contains links to several other sites.

When a search engine sees a link that meets most or all of these conditions, she said, Hey, this site must be credible and important, because others in the same sector are pointing towards it.

Q: How do I get lots of links to my site?

A: There are several possible ways to generate links. Some are dubious (like auto-generation software and sites set up by webmasters simply to host links to other sites) and I won’ t discussed here. Others, such as those discussed below, are legitimate.
1. Add your site to DMOZ and Yahoo directories (and other free directories)
2. Check where your competitors links are from
3. Write and submit articles for publication on the Internet
4. Swap links
5. Partner websites
6. pay for the bonds

Q: What do you think is the best way to get a good number of links?

A: Article PR. Writing articles useful and leave other webmasters to publish free of charge in exchange for a link in the byline. PR of the article, you do not have to pay for the link, you determine the content of the page containing the link, you determine the link text and the link is more or less permanent. Q: What is the Google Sandbox, and is it true?

A: The Google Sandbox theory suggests that whenever Google detects a new website, it withholds its rightful ranking for a period while it determines whether your site is a genuine, credible, long term site. It does this to discourage the creation of SPAM websites (sites which serve no purpose other than to boost the ranking of some other sites).

There is a lot of anecdotal evidence supporting the theory, but there are also many discount. Nobody categorically proved its existence.

There is a lot of anecdotal evidence supporting the theory, but there are also many discount. Nobody categorically proved its existence.

What to Find Out When Shopping for a SEO Specialist

When shopping for a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) company or the specialist you need to be aware of certain things. If someone offers you quick results, they can be by pulling his leg. If you are not listed on the search engines for the average duration of the index will take approximately 4 weeks. Someone offering bids in less than coning is you. Web sites that have already signed up and are only being updated will be faster results.

A guarantee is not always reinsurance. Just because a site shows that they can help you in the stain 1 does not mean that they can deliver. Or, they can you listed under an obscure keyword or phrase. More legitimate SEO’s will tell you no one can guarantee first place on all keywords and phrases. Search engine optimization is not an exact science. Trail and error consistent with the emphasis will help bring your site closer to your goal.

Most Seo Expert should give you some information on your site, which is currently being held. You links, keywords, where you rank on the major search engines, and so on. Or, do one yourself. My article “Google’s Helping hand” show you free tools that can help you assess your position on search engines. Do not go into any SEO work blindly. Knowing where you are before and after.

Price is never a good idea of how a service is. More is not always better. Shop try to get the most for your money, but be realistic. If this seems too good to be true, then it may just be. Be prepared to shell some species. SEO is not cheap. You may want to consider SEO as advertising. It should be a candidate, however, that your advertising efforts.

Ask questions! Do not be afraid to ask what would be done to increase your rank. Most SEO’s not a problem, tell you what they will do. They may not want to reveal their entire SEO process. But they will give you an idea of what they will do. Talk to more than one company SEO. Compare what everyone has to say. Doing research on your own. Find out if these companies were reported to the Better Business Bureau. If a company or a person has had articles or written comments on them. Ask around. Try to get an idea of the company or persons credibility.

A few additional things to keep in mind are:
Seo Services is the principal activity or it is a sideline to other businesses. SEO is a full-time job. In particular, stay abreast of constant change. Do they have a specialist? Have they outsource? How do they really know? What are the views on the link farms and doorway pages? Will they do something for you the link and flow? Even if search engines frown on the practice. Can they can explain clearly how their action plan? Seek it to take small steps with you? Or, are they trying to sell you the biggest package SEO possible?

Follow this plan if you are looking for someone to optimize your site. At the end, it will have been worth it. Joe Balestrino’s site is www.mr-seo.com it offers affordable SEO, bids and other articles on SEO and marketing. His other site www.jnb-design.com offers affordable web design and free lodging for life.
